Today we recognize National PTSD Awareness Day — a time to bring understanding, compassion, and awareness to those living with post-traumatic stress disorder.
PTSD can affect veterans, service members, first responders, survivors of violence, and individuals who have experienced trauma in many different forms. While the wounds may not always be visible, the impact is real, and no one should feel alone in their healing journey.
Awareness matters because it helps break stigma and encourages conversations around mental health, support, and recovery. Seeking help is not weakness — it is strength.

Today, we honor the resilience of those navigating life after trauma and the families, friends, professionals, and communities who continue to support them with patience and care.
Healing looks different for everyone, but hope, support, and understanding can make a difference.
