U.S. Army Birthday

Today we celebrate two important symbols of American history and service — Flag Day and the birthday of the United States Army.

Flag Day honors the American flag as a symbol of unity, freedom, sacrifice, and resilience. It represents the generations of Americans who have served, protected, and stood together through times of challenge and triumph.

We also celebrate the birthday of the United States Army, established on June 14, 1775. For more than 250 years, soldiers have answered the call to serve with courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to the nation.

Today, we recognize the men and women past and present who have worn the uniform, along with the families and communities who support them every step of the way.

May we continue to honor the values represented by our flag and remember the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms it stands for.
